1 Introduction
Insulating glass is in the middle of two or more pieces of glass, the glass is separated by a spacer frame or rubber strip injected with desiccant, and the surrounding is sealed by gluing method, so that the intermediate cavity can always keep dry gas, and has the functions of energy saving and sound insulation. of glass products. The energy saving of insulating glass is achieved by constructing the space structure of insulating glass, and its dry and convective air (argon) layer can block the passage of heat conduction, thereby effectively reducing its heat transfer coefficient to achieve the purpose of energy saving.
The bonding method has a unique cavity air drying system. It is with this drying system that it is possible to improve the structure and process of insulating glass. In order to improve energy saving, products such as multi-layer insulating glass, Low-E insulating glass and gas-filled insulating glass have been developed.
The production of insulating glass in my country began in the 1960s, using a hand-made single-pass sealing process. In the early 1980s, the insulating glass production equipment was introduced from Austria, the United States and other countries, and the mechanical processing double sealing process was adopted. Before 1997, there were less than 100 enterprises using machinery to produce insulating glass in my country, but since 1997, there are thousands of enterprises using machinery to produce insulating glass in my country. However, initially, the sealants used in the production of insulating glass were mainly imported, mainly from German Teroson, American Morton, British Expandite and later German Henkel, Kommeerling, American Fuller, French Lejointfrancais and other companies. The performance is good, but the price is high and it is not easy to buy.
According to market demand, our company (Zhengzhou Zhongyuan Institute of Applied Technology) started to set up projects and conduct independent research and development in 1991. At that time, it should be the earliest manufacturer to carry out research and development in the field of civil sealants. After 30 years and generations of people's joint efforts, At present, more than 10 product models have been formed for the production of insulating glass, covering different structural forms of insulating glass (trough aluminum type, warm edge, micro-hollow, etc.). The development of our company's butyl sealant can be said to be the epitome of the development of domestic butyl sealant, which basically witnesses the development process of domestic butyl sealant. 2. Development history
After 30 years of continuous development, our company's butyl sealant is roughly divided into three parts based on time.

Germination and development stage
1991~2001
In 1991, the project of butyl sealant (MF-DJ910) was established, which is the earliest research and development of butyl sealant for insulating glass used in construction in China.
In 1992, the insulating glass produced as a complete set passed the test according to GB/T 7020-86 by the National Glass Quality Supervision, Inspection and Testing Center, breaking the monopoly of imported butyl sealant
Production equipment: The two-roll mill was initially used for open production; later, the 200L double planetary vacuum mixer was used for closed and vacuum production, which initially solved the problems of environmental pollution and product bubbles.

The 1300L butyl sealant automatic production line has been successfully debugged, and the MF-DJ910G butyl hot-melt sealant for insulating glass is used in batches in large domestic glass deep-processing manufacturers to replace imports. To ensure the compactness and gloss of the product, and at the same time, the product performance and production efficiency are greatly improved;

2014
The 2000L butyl sealant automatic production line was successfully debugged, with an annual production capacity of 3,000 tons. Compared with the original production line, the production line has been greatly improved in terms of power, vacuum sealing method, production efficiency, heating and cooling systems; the industry responsible for drafting Standard JC/T914-2014 successfully completed the version change work;

The insulating glass made with thermoplastic spacers for MF910SG insulating glass has obtained the EN1279-2 and EN1279-3 test reports; the T/ZBH004-2018 "Insulating Glass Sealant" drafted in charge has been successfully implemented, providing a standard basis for the quality inspection of thermoplastic spacers , regulate the market, and promote the healthy development of the industry;
The 2018 patent "A mold for making a thermoplastic spacer and a test sample for the adhesion performance of the outer track adhesive" was authorized;
The 2020 invention patent "A Test Method for the Bonding Properties of Thermoplastic Warm Edge Spacers and Curing External Road Adhesives" was authorized;
In 2021, undertake the preparation of the group bid "Online Forming Spacer Sealant for Insulating Glass"; introduce a 5000L butyl automatic production line from German Linden Company, which is currently the production line with the largest single batch of butyl sealant in the world; the annual production capacity reaches 8,000 tons.

There are more and more manufacturers, but the quality is uneven and the price varies; there are great differences between manufacturers in terms of process technology, production equipment, and management level. The market is still disrupting the market with inferior sealants that are shoddy, fake and disorderly competing;
Weak ability of independent innovation:
Compared with international advanced enterprises, most enterprises have low R&D investment, which has led to the lag in the development of new products and new processes, and the lack of core technologies with independent intellectual property rights.
The supporting products developed by our company for the production of insulating glass have formed more than 10 grades, covering different structural forms of insulating glass (trough aluminum type, warm edge, micro-hollow, etc.), and the product performance is always based on imported products. Research and development, improvement and innovation, apply for a number of patents, edit the industry standards and group standards of butyl sealant; the developed series of products meet the needs of different customers.
